Nothing Forever follows Ella (Anna Chandless) and Susan (Valynn Turkovich) on their way to a funeral for Susan's mother in-law. When their car breaks down and strange lights appear in the woods, Ella soon comes face to face with a sentient biocomputer, a manifestation of her own mortality. Nothing Forever is an existential horror film that has sci-fi elements akin to an episode of Love, Death and Robots. It explores themes of youth, familial bonds and what it means to process death.
In the fall semester of my fourth year of undergraduate film school, I directed a short film I had been working on for over nine months. The film took three nights to shoot and was one of the most stressful, exciting and fulfilling creative projects I've had the privilege of undertaking. Shot on one location in upstate New York, Nothing Forever was a huge collaborative effort from many of my extremely talented friends and classmates.
Nothing Forever is currently in post production. It is set to premier in mid April in Syracuse, New York. Watch the teaser here: https://youtu.be/fhmefJ6lVbk
